Winter Sports Challenge: Kiwanis Club to host 15th annual ski and snowshoe races during Old Forge’s Winter Carnival

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adiron-dacks will sponsor the 15th Annual Kiwanis Winter Sports Challenge and 4th Annual McCauley Mountain Snowshoe Classic on Saturday, February 14 during the Old Forge Winter Carnival weekend.

The snowshoe and ski events will be held at McCauley Mountain Ski Area in Old Forge.  Continue reading

Webb Police Dept. issues activity report

The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following report of recent law enforcement activity.

A 28-year-old Hacken-sack, NJ man was arrested for snowmobiling while intoxicated and imprudent speed following a property damage accident in the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari parking lot on Wednesday, January 14 at 9:30 p.m.

He was issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Webb Court on Thursday, January 15 at 7 p.m. Continue reading

Amelia Marie Iasiello Berkstresser passed away peacefully on January 16, 2015 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, PA.

She was born on October 12, 1922 to Amelia DiMeglio Iasiello and Anthony Iasiello and was predeceased by her husband Thomas John Berkstresser in 1966 and companion Charles Dubbs in 2006.  Continue reading

VIEW Chili Bowl Luncheon: Potters ready to host 9th annual fundraiser

VIEW, the multi-arts center in Old Forge, will host the 9th Annual Chili Bowl Luncheon on Saturday, February 21 from 11:30 a.m until 1:30 p.m.

Homemade meat and vegetarian chili, stews and soups prepared by local restaurants will be served in handmade bowls from the Pottery Workshop at VIEW as well as from artists living in and outside the community.  Continue reading
