Amelia Marie Iasiello Berkstresser passed away peacefully on January 16, 2015 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, PA.

She was born on October 12, 1922 to Amelia DiMeglio Iasiello and Anthony Iasiello and was predeceased by her husband Thomas John Berkstresser in 1966 and companion Charles Dubbs in 2006. 

Baby, as she was affectionately known, was one of nine children and is survived by siblings Gloria Keeler, Sylvia Spirk, Eugene Iasiello and Anna Marie Hallman. She is also survived by three loving children, David Berkstresser and wife Jeanette, Rick and Diane (Berkstresser) Sauers and  Walter Berkstresser and wife Dawn.

She was known as “Mom Mom” to her grandchildren, Stephen Berkstresser, Lauren Behrens, Kim Berrera, Brandon Sauers, Kari  LaBounty, Molly Abgarian,  Sara Berkstresser,  Yvonne Nichols, Jeff Marshall and great grandchildren Liam Behrens, Isabella Berrera, Hayden Nichols and Mia Marshall all of whom she loved dearly as they loved her.

She was educated in Fountain Hill in Bethlehem, PA and was employed by the Social Security Administration, Sears and Roebuck (Where she met her husband Thomas John Berkstresser) and ETI of Allentown, PA before retiring to the South Shore of Fourth Lake in Old Forge in 1995 where she resided until 2010.

She loved the Adirondacks, especially coffee in the morning and happy hour in the afternoon while sitting on the deck enjoying the panoramic view of Fourth Lake and the backdrop of the mountains. She loved the splashes of colors in the fall and the pristine white of the winter.

She was so proud to host the BS Open golf tournament that the family participated in for over 20 years. She was the consummate hostess to everyone who attended.

She was a tomboy and loved her athletics. She played basketball, softball and baseball with the same enthusiasm she lived her life. Later on she enjoyed golfing in the Ladies leagues in Pennsylvania and at the Inlet Golf Course.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who touched the lives of everyone around her and will be missed by many.

Services and interment will be conducted in Bethlehem, PA.
