CAA plans winter events

The Central Adirondack Association is excited to announce their upcoming 2016 winter events. Old Forge’s Winter Carnival will commence with a parade down Main Street on Friday, February 5th.

February 6th & 7th, McCauley Mountain will host a range of family fun activities for every outdoor enthusiast.  From skiing and snowshoeing to dining and dancing, Winter Carnival has it all.  Continue reading

Grand prize winner…

CAA Raffle: Winners of car and cash prizes drawn at Old Forge lakefront

The Central Adirondack Association would like to thank everyone who came to the Old Forge lakefront and celebrated the end of another wonderful summer season on Sunday, September 6th.

Thanks to all who helped support the CAA by purchasing a raffle ticket.

Local business standouts recognized at Central Adirondack Assoc. event

CAA presents 18th Annual Classic Car Show this weekend

The Central Adirondack Association will host the 18th Annual Central Adirondack Father’s Day Week-end Car Show in Old Forge on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20.

The event begins on Friday at 7 p.m. with a car parade down Main Street in Old Forge.

The Car Show on Saturday will be held at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Continue reading

Town of Webb and CAA to fill funding gap for shuttle bus

The Town of Webb received word from Herkimer County that the local match required for a new shuttle bus system has been revised upward from a previous projection—doubled—and would require a renewed commitment from the town and Central Adirondack Association (CAA), according to Nick Rose, executive director of CAP-21.

CAP-21, with assistance from Town of Webb Publicity Director Mike Farmer, has been coordinating a grant application with Herkimer County.  Continue reading
