Writers, aspiring writers, songwriters and members of the public are invited to share their own work, or to just come and listen to others, at an Open Mic Night at the Old Forge Library on Wednesday, February 18.

The Inlet Barnstormers Snowmobile Club will hold its monthly Membership Meeting at the Inlet Information Center on Tuesday, February at 7 p.m. The election of officers for next year’s slate on the Board of Directors will be held during the meeting.
All are welcome to attend and discover the many activities scheduled for the winter.
Refreshments will be served following the meeting. Volunteers are welcome.

The Raquette Lake Winter Carnival will begin Friday, February 13 at 5 p.m. at the Raquette Lake Fire Hall with an all-you-can-eat Pasta Dinner.
The meal is $10 and includes assorted pastas, salad, garlic bread and dessert.

Not sure if that’s even a word… ‘key-holing’… but it sure is thrown around. Generally the concept is providing a narrow, non-conforming parcel of land to gain access to a lake for a number of property owners that do not have any waterfront.
