All welcome to library’s Open Mic for Writers

IMG_0174_Mike CunninghamWriters, aspiring writers, songwriters and members of the public are invited to share their own work, or to just come and listen to others, at an Open Mic Night at the Old Forge Library on Wednesday, February 18.

The event, held in a coffee house setting, will begin at 7 p.m. with featured reader and emcee Michael Cunningham.

Cunningham, an English teacher at Town of Webb School, has had his work published in The Northern Logger and Adirondack Life covering a range of topics including logging, spying, and bluegrass music.

A native of Louisiana, his latest work of fiction is set in New Orleans.

Walk-ins are welcome to participate.

The program is part of the library’s Open Mic for Writers series which is held to inspire writers and create opportunities for regional writers to meet.
