The Summer Writer’s Workshops at the Old Forge Library will feature four-week sessions for both adults and young adults. The sessions will be held on  consecutive Wednesdays from July 15 through August 5. Young adults will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and adults will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The director of the workshops is Katharyn Howd Machan, a professor of writing at Ithaca College with additional active roles in the Women’s Studies Program and the Gerontology Institute.   Continue reading →

Writers, aspiring writers, songwriters and members of the public are invited to share their own work, or to just come and listen to others, at an Open Mic Night at the Old Forge Library on Wednesday, February 18.
