Olivia Phaneuf represents Webb at NYS Music Fest

20141122_134153_1Olivia Phaneuf, a student at Town of Webb School, attended the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Zone 5 Area All-State Festival at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam on Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22.

Phaneuf is the first Webb student to attend the festival in five years. Continue reading

Kiwanis Club of Central Adirondacks inducts Robert Gates as new member

Robert Gates of Old Forge was inducted as a new member of the Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks at an event held at Covey-Pashley Old Forge American Legion Post on Monday, November 24.

Library seeks volunteer hold for Christmas play

Volunteers are needed to assist with the Old Forge Library’s upcoming production of the play,  A Christmas Tree for Kitty.

School-age actors are needed as well as adults to help with costumes and planning.

Anyone interested in helping can stop at the library on Thursday, December 4 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. for the first planning session.

Provided there is enough help, a one-night performance will take place on Friday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. during the library’s annual Christmas party.
