APA Announces Public Listening Session Dates for Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan Amendment Process

The hamlet of Old Forge will host an Adirondack Park Agency (APA) public listening session on November 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Town of Webb’s school gymnasium.

All welcome for Veterans Day Ceremony at Post 893, Saturday Marine Corps Party

Covey-Pashley American Legion Post #893 of Old Forge invites all to a Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m.

The ceremony will take place outside the Legion Hall which is located on Route 28 across from the Town of Webb Visitor Information Center.

The program will include a recognition of area war veterans and members of the local legion post who are currently serving in the military. Continue reading

Eagle Bay Fire Auxiliary sets Turkey Party, Nov. 15

The annual Turkey Party sponsored by the Eagle Bay Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be held Saturday, November 15 at 7 p.m. at the Eagle Bay Fire Department on Route 28.

The evening will include the raffle of many turkeys, 50/50 raffles, and raffle for a Dan’s Big M gift certificate.

There will be donuts, popcorn and a variety of other refreshments. All are invited to attend.

Library Book Group changes meeting date

The Old Forge Library’s Evening Book Group will be changing their meeting dates to the last Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. starting in November.

The Morning Book Group will continue to meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. Both groups meet at the library and welcome new members. Continue reading
