CAP-21 invites all to group’s Annual Meeting on Nov. 20th

The public is invited to attend the annual meeting of the Central Adirondack Partnership (CAP-21) that is scheduled for Thursday, November 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Van Auken’s Inne in Thendara.

CAP-21 will review its community and grant work for the past year and talk about what it seeks to accomplish in 2015.  Continue reading

VIEW announces winter season and holiday performances

VIEW has scheduled two weekends of performances in December that can be enjoyed by viewers of all ages.

No turning back

The season will kick off on Friday, December 5 with the ever-popular ski film: Warren Miller’s No Turning Back at 7 p.m.

Warren Miller Entertain-ment’s highly anticipated 65th film examines the heritage that has continued to document the cutting edge of winter sports—from early alpine racing to todays’s big mountain exploration—taking viewers to such locations as the top of Greece’s Mount Olympus, Japan and the Swiss Alps.

Adirondack League Club exhibit: Goodsell Museum’s Open House set Nov. 30

The Trustees of the Town of Webb Historical Association invites members and the public to their annual Holiday Open House that will be held Sunday, November 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Goodsell Museum.

The Open House will mark the official opening of the featured exhibit, “100,000 Acres of Paradise: The Early History of the Adirondack League Club.”  Continue reading

Adirondack Bank staff to host Appreciation Day

The staff of Adirondack Bank’s Old Forge branch invites all past, present and future customers to a Neighborhood Appreciation Day on Friday, November 21.

Bank personnel will be serving a selection of soups and desserts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will also be available to share information about the bank’s products and services.
