Robert Gates of Old Forge was inducted as a new member of the Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks at an event held at Covey-Pashley Old Forge American Legion Post on Monday, November 24.

Kiwanis President Mike Griffin was sponsor and introduced Gates to the club.
A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Gates is retired from Kodak after 32 years of service as head of Engineering Maintenance. He has lived in Old Forge since 2001.
He is a volunteer driver for Community Transportation Service and is vice president of Barnstormers Snowmobile Club.
“Today we have brought a new member into our club who will contribute new energy and ideas that will improve the club in the future,” Griffin said.
