Register now for AARP driving course

Registration is available for an AARP Driving Course that will take place at the White Otter Fish & Game Club on Woodgate Drive in Woodgate on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 4 and 5 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. both days.

The fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members.

Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services to host Gary Rudd Memorial Golf Tourney

The Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services organization is again hosting the Gary Rudd Memorial Tournament. The tournament is open to 36 four-person teams.

The proceeds from the tournament help provide emergency services for the Inlet/Eagle Bay area. This includes fire protection and emergency medical care through our two ambulances.

Registration forms can be found at the Inlet and Old Forge Information Centers and both the Inlet and Thendara Golf Courses, as well as the Inlet Emergency Services station on Limekiln Road.  Continue reading

Cousins that Care planning an Inlet 5K Run/Walk for Saturday, Aug. 15

The Cousins that Care are planning their third annual 5k run/walk to raise funds for their charitable work giving to families in need, charities and scholarships.

The event will take place Saturday, August 15 and will begin and end at the Ole Barn restaurant on Limekiln Rd. in Inlet.

Monetary donations, and donations of raffle and auction items are welcome.  Continue reading

Big Moose Balsam Bee set Saturday, July 25

The annual Big Moose Community Chapel Balsam Bee will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, July 25, at the Chapel, which is located five miles west of Eagle Bay on Big Moose Road.

All are welcome to join in this long-standing, local Adirondack tradition of making balsam pillows which will be sold at the Chapel’s annual Bazaar on August 1.  Continue reading

Town of Webb Police Dept. reports recent law enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has reported the following law enforcement activity.

A 49-year-old Utica man was charged with Harassment 2nd on Wednesday, July 15 at 8:52 a.m. following an investigation of an incident that occurred on Sunday, July 12.

According to the report, an investigation into an altercation at Enchanted Forest Water Safari on July 12 at approximately 3 p.m. resulted in the defendant being charged with the above charges.  Continue reading
