When the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division Band takes the stage at Inlet’s Arrowhead Park on Sunday, July 26, it will be among one of their final state-side performances before their deployment to Afghanistan.

According to Jerry Dupuis of the Fulton Chain of Lakes Performing Arts Council, Inc., sponsor of the event, the band was notified a week ago that they would be deployed sometime after Labor Day.  Continue reading →

Inlet Arts in the Park Fair slated for July 18 and 19

More than 65 artists and craftsmen will set up at Arrowhead Park in Inlet on Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19 for the 39th Annual Arts in the Park festival.

Among the items for sale will be pottery, quilts, handmade/ hand-embroidered apparel, wrought iron, floral designs, jewelry, wall hangings, sand art, metal products, wooden items, furniture, photography, bird houses, leather items, fishing lures, redwood signs, and lawn ornaments.     Continue reading →

Inlet Historical Society hosts town walking tour on July 18

The Inlet Hisorical Society will host a Historical Walking Tour of Inlet on Saturday, July 18.

The tour will begin from the Inlet Common School on Route 28 at 10 a.m. and ends at the Inlet Historical Society building where refreshments will be served.

On Saturday, July 25, the organization will host a Cruise-In Car Show at Arrowhead Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

July 2015 Monthly Meeting Town of Webb Board issues permit to Adirondack League Club

The Town of Webb Board met on Tuesday, July 14 for its regular monthly meeting. The Board’s business included adoption of a resolution to withdraw $23,000 from the previously established “Public Works Equipment Capital Reserve Fund.”

As of June 1, 2015 the amount of the reserve fund was $26,042, according to Supervisor Ted Riehle.

The expended amount will be to purchase a truck and accessory equipment for use by the Public Works Department.  Continue reading →

15-piece Big Band to perform at the Old Forge Lakefront

The Summer Concert Series held on the Old Forge Lakefront on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. will feature Easy Money on July 19.
