July 4th Weekend: Inlet festivities include annual Ping Pong Ball Drop

Jamie NotarthomasInlet’s Fourth of July celebration will begin at Fern Park with the annual Ping Pong Ball Drop at 1 p.m. This event brings hundreds of children up to age 12 to the park who will collect ping-pong balls that have been dropped onto the ball field.

There will be three separate drops for the different age groups. The children will then trade their ping-pong balls in for prizes donated by local businesses. Continue reading

Live music and fireworks set at Old Forge lakefront

The Fourth of July celebration in Old Forge will include a free concert performed by the Floyd Community Instrumental Ensemble starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Old Forge Lakefront.

The Floyd Community Instrumental Ensemble has been creating a variety of music throughout the Mohawk Valley for over 20 years.  Continue reading

Pirates & Princesses: Water Safari readies family fun events for July

Enchanted Forest Water Safari has announced four Pirates and Princesses days that the family entertainment park will host on the Mondays and Tuesdays of July 13 & 14, and 20 & 21.

Children will have the opportunity to meet their favorite Pirate and Princess characters and create photo memories.

Children and families will also be able to enjoy a private All-You-Can-Eat Buffet lunch with the pirate and princess characters of the day.  Continue reading
