Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services to host Gary Rudd Memorial Golf Tourney

by Jim Keough

The Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services organization is again hosting the Gary Rudd Memorial Tournament. The tournament is open to 36 four-person teams.

The proceeds from the tournament help provide emergency services for the Inlet/Eagle Bay area. This includes fire protection and emergency medical care through our two ambulances.

Registration forms can be found at the Inlet and Old Forge Information Centers and both the Inlet and Thendara Golf Courses, as well as the Inlet Emergency Services station on Limekiln Road.

The cost is $85 per person and includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes. The hole-in-one sponsor is Carbone Ford which is offering a new car for a hole-in-one.

Businesses that would like to contribute to the tournament can also register using the same form.

A sign with your business name will be placed on the course. Contact any member of the Inlet Emergency Services.

The tournament is Sunday, August 16 at the Inlet Golf Club.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. There are still several openings for teams.

No worry if you don’t have four players, we will form teams with those registrants with less than a full team.

We are always in need of volunteers. You don’t need to be a member of IVES to help.
