Untangling the myriad questions relating to lots and new construction
Do you have a lot that you would like to build on? Wondering if you can?
First, determine the zoning district.
The minimum lot area (square footage) and road or shoreline frontage required for each principal structure you anticipate have been established for each district.

Inlet’s Memory Walk raises funds for Alzheimer’s research, respite services
The 5th annual Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s took place in Inlet on a beautiful, sunny day in June. This year’s walk differed in that no single Alzheimer’s victim was honored.
Instead, the walk memorialized those who have passed and provided support for those who are now suffering with this disease.
The “Walk” raised $2,337 with about 25 walkers participating.
Our Chinese Auction was popular, and ticket holders won many wonderful prizes, including baskets of cheer, jewelry, a quilt, Avon and Tastefully Simple products, gift certificates for Zumba and TRX classes, a hand-painted flowerpot, and a basket for summer fun. Continue reading
Inlet announces Classic Car Show winners
The Inlet Historical Society hosted the 2nd Annual Classic Car Cruise and Show on Saturday, July 26 at Arrowhead Park.
Jim Skrocki of Utica took home the Best in Show award for his 1962 Corvette.
In the People’s Choice category, first place winner was Dick Webster’s 1977 Peterbuilt 359.
Taking second place was Georgianna Kimball’s 1955 Ford Victoria. In third place was Neil Trimm’s 1979 F-100.
Leo Fadel was organizer of the event. Craig Wittin is president of the Inlet Historical Society.
Holl’s Inn program to follow Inlet Historical Society annual meeting
The Inlet Historical Society will hold its annual Membership Meeting in the Senior Room of the Inlet Town Hall on Wednesday, August 13 at 6 p.m.
The meeting will include members’ nomination/election of officers, present and future operations plans, reports about finances, membership, building usage, funding efforts and other affairs of interest to the membership. Continue reading
Central Ad’k Sailing Assn. continues sailboat race season on Fourth Lake
The fourth weekend of sailboat races were held by the Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA) on Saturday, August 2 off the south shore of Fourth Lake.
Even with approaching ominous-looking storm clouds, the sailors completed two races before the rain started. Continue reading
Puppet show set for August 9th at the Old Forge Library Gazebo
Puppet Master Ken Carman returns to Old Forge with a puppet show on Saturday, August 9 at 1 p.m. that will take place at the Old Forge Library gazebo.
Carman, who has presented several puppet shows in Old Forge in the past, will present an original show, The Snozard of Odd, a tale with an anti-bullying message that encourages acceptance of those who are different and unique. Continue reading
