The local Flying Scot Fleet, in conjunction with Central Adirondack Sailing Association hosted the NY Lakes District Annual Flying Scot Championship Regatta on Fourth Lake on Saturday and Sunday, August 15 and16.
Eighteen Flying Scots participated with visitors from Skaneateles, Piseco and Saratoga Lakes.
All the sailors enjoyed the experience of racing with eighteen boats in five races over two days. Continue reading

The Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA) held its third week of sailing races on Satur-day, July 25.
The nine Flying Scots with a short starting line and gusty winds made for two exciting races held on the south shore of Fourth Lake.

Palmer Point and the Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA) were excited to host the 2015 Annual Sunfish Regatta on Sunday, July 26.
The Nelsons, the new owners of Palmer Point, were particularly excited to host the Sunfish Regatta in 2015, since 50 years ago, Dave Palmer, the original owner of Palmer Point, decided to host a sailing regatta which relaunched sailboat racing on Fourth Lake after a multi-decade hiatus. The Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA) continued its 2015 summer sailing season with two races on Saturday, July 18 near Inlet on Fourth Lake.
Seven boats started the race but only six were able to finish due to the strong winds.
Duffy Zornow, with his son Patrick as crew, were victorious in both races. Mark Steigerwald and John Jeffrey came in second and fourth in the two races. Continue reading

The Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA) continued its 2015 summer sailing season with two races on July 11, mid-lake on the South Shore of Fourth Lake.
While there were only four boats, the gusty winds and close competition made the race very exciting for the sailors and the fans watching.
In the first race Tom McCabe and Carey Lorraine were victorious, with Paul Willsey and Butch Hartsig in second, Nate Wilsey and Erin Zimmerman in third, and John Jeffrey and Dave Slater in fourth. Continue reading

The Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA) kicked off the 2015 summer sailing season with two races on July 5th in front of the Woods Inn on Fourth Lake.
The sailors enjoyed light to medium winds, an exciting course, and perfect weather out on the water.

The new owners of Palmer Point, Michael and Cindy Nelson, were excited to host the Central Adirondack Sailing Association (CASA) 2014 Sunfish Regatta at Palmer Point on Sunday, August 9th.
The Nelsons stated that CASA was started in 1965 at Palmer Point and they look forward to bringing back Palmer Point at the center of sailing on Fourth Lake and the Central Adirondacks. Continue reading
