To the Editor: 

We would like to make the citizens of Forestport aware of our thinking as to why Mr. Gardner is the best choice for the tax payers of Forestport. Mr. Gardner has been elected Highway Superintendent spanning nearly two decades and has a record of responsibility and accountability.

He manages more than a dozen associates during peak periods. His duties also involve the purchase of sand, salt, trucks and winter product, maintains equipment and is responsible for building maintenance as well as interfacing with county and local towns during the year. He is responsible for maintaining a 1.5 million dollar budget each year and has cut almost $150,000 in expenses to that budget over the last 4 years despite facing some of the worst winter weather in recent history.  Continue reading →
