The Forestport Town Board adopted a resolution designed to clarify eligibility requirements for town employees as it relates to the town’s group health insurance plan.
The resolution was approved unanimously at the board’s November 18th monthly meeting.
Health plan eligibility changes were made on November 19, 2014 when the Board resolved to increase the minimum annual salary amount to $10,000. Continue reading

Sege said his 33-year law enforcement career led to his understanding of the various court systems and the people that encounter it, including families and young people.
“I teach the ‘Alive at 25’ program that’s offered under the auspices of Stop DWI. If a person between the ages of 15 and 25 gets a speeding ticket, a stop-sign ticket, a cellphone ticket, a DWI or DWAI, or a high profile, high-point ticket that would probably cost them their license, they have the option through the court systems of attending this four-hour course,” Sege said.

Parker Snead’s dedication and leadership in improving Forestport has been outstanding and this is coming from someone who has seen many supervisors come and go in my 76 years as a Forestport resident.
A little over a week ago, the efforts of our Parker Snead reelection committee hit a snag when his only two highway campaign signs were stolen.

The Haters are attacking Forestport. We are experiencing their scorched-earth campaign, that includes constant attacks on social media and in newspapers.
On the surface it looks like the perpetrators are attacking me.

Forestport Tax Payers,
It has become clear that the Town of Forestport is in a “budget league of its own,” when compared to nearby municipalities.
And it’s inescapable that we Town Board members must “play” with this budget in doing right by our taxpayers.
As you all know, I do not avail myself of the Health insurance or the retirement, so my compensation consists of two salaries, the total being approximately $23,634. Continue reading
