VIEW will host a gospel service led by Rev. Lawrence Bartel, pastor of Niccolls Memorial Church, and the Rev. Shaun Whitehead, a chaplain at St. Lawrence University, as part of the art center’s Adirondack Music Fest on Sunday, September 20.
The service will be held at VIEW at 8:30 a.m.
The gospel service is free and open to the public and community members are invited to participate with the Niccolls Choir to sing in an informal gospel choir. Continue reading

The Senior Health, Activity & Recreation Program (SHARP) held a community event/fundraiser sponsored by CAP-21 on Saturday, June 6 at the Old Forge Fire Hall.
We had a great time celebrating the 1950’s. It was a fun day filled with dancing, laughter, games, snacks and prizes. My personal favorite memory was when a young girl asked a senior citizen what the 45 rpm record was that was part of our display. It was touching to see a generational gap lessened by hands-on learning. Continue reading
