The Central Adirondack Association will host the 18th Annual Central Adirondack Father’s Day Week-end Car Show in Old Forge on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20.
The event begins on Friday at 7 p.m. with a car parade down Main Street in Old Forge.
The Car Show on Saturday will be held at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Continue reading
Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge opened its gates for the 2015 season on Wednesday, June 17, marking the 60th anniversary of the storybook theme park that has transitioned, since the eighties, into New York’s Largest Water Theme Park.
The park boasts over 50 rides and attractions, including 32 heated water rides, according to Katie Wojdyla, the park’s director of marketing. Continue reading
The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks will host the 6th Annual Kiwanis Old Forge Paddle Classic on Saturday, June 27.
There are two races that will depart from the Town of Webb Navigation Dock at the Old Forge Pond. A 6-Mile Race from Old Forge lakefront to Treasure Island on First Lake, and back; and a 12-Mile Race from Old Forge lakefront to Alger Island on Fourth Lake, and back.
There will be awards for various categories of canoes, kayaks and guideboats. Continue reading

Old Forge AYSO is currently in dire need of volunteers who can act in a variety of capacities to assure the continuance of the youth soccer program for the upcoming fall season.
Jason Perkins, the commissioner of local AYSO Region 1101, is one of four volunteers currently sitting on the board, however he and two others stepped down from their positions at the end of the spring season. Continue reading

The Old Forge Fire Department was dispatched at 9:51 p.m. on Sunday, June 7 for a rescue call for a 48-year-old female at Nicks Lake State Campground. The woman called 911 from her cell phone to say she was lost. Continue reading
