DOT: Informational session set for local Route 28 rehabilitation project
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will host an Informational Open House on Wednesday, April 22 for an upcoming pavement rehabilitation project on Route 28 from Old Forge to the Hamilton County line north of Eagle Bay.
The Open House will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge located at 3273 State Route 28. VIEW is handicapped accessible. Continue reading

Town of Webb honored for Environmental Project of the Year
The Town of Webb has been selected to receive the 2014 Environmental Project of the Year Award from the Central New York Branch of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
The award is in recognition of Webb’s recent East Side Pump Station and Force Main Upgrade Project.
Town Supervisor Ted Riehle was on hand to receive the award, on behalf of the Town of Webb, at the Branch’s Annual Banquet on November 13. Continue reading
Leaf Pick-up ends Nov. 14
The final day for leaf pick-up in the Town of Webb will be Friday, November 14, weather permitting.
Highway Superintendent Casey Crofut asks that residents rake leaves to the curb and be careful not to cover any drainage ditches.
Leaves should be unbagged and free of rocks, sticks, and debris.
Statement asks Webb Board to be mindful of Town Clerk’s function
Town Clerk Nanci Russell read a statement to the Town of Webb Board on Tuesday, October 14, at the Board’s monthly meeting, alerting them to what she characterized as a diminished working dynamic between her office and that of the Town Supervisor.
She said Supervisor Ted Riehle has altered the manner in which he utilizes the Town Clerk’s office, to the point that efficiency and professionalism are being compromised. Continue reading
