Twenty-eight Town of Webb band students and two Inlet band students in grades five through eleven traveled to Carthage High School on Saturday, April 18 to participate in the New York State School Music Association Solo Festival.
Each student had to memorize from three to fifteen major scales, prepare a solo, and complete sight reading for an adjudicator for participation in the festival.
Instructor for all the students is Town of Webb School instrumental teacher, Emily Herrmann.
