The Town of Webb Police Department has reported the following law enforcement activity.
• A 49-year-old Utica man was charged with Harassment 2nd on Wednesday, July 15 at 8:52 a.m. following an investigation of an incident that occurred on Sunday, July 12.
According to the report, an investigation into an altercation at Enchanted Forest Water Safari on July 12 at approximately 3 p.m. resulted in the defendant being charged with the above charges. Continue reading
Verona Labs will provide pick up of water samples for testing on Tuesday, July 14.
Local businesses or individuals that wish to utilize this service can drop off water samples by 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Forestport Town Hall or Adirondack Grocery in Otter Lake, or by 11 a.m. at the Visitor Information Center in Old Forge, or by noon at The Tavern in Eagle Bay or the Inlet Town Hall.
The cost for bacterial testing is $33 per sample that includes a $5 pickup charge per customer. Continue reading

Town of Webb School Class of 2015 graduates Daniel Stefanko and Tommy Cooper are recipients of the first Shawn Farmer/Scott Hall Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship honors the memories of the two TOW School alumni and is made possible through the fundraising efforts of their friends and family.

Officials of various agencies who helped make the Old Forge/Thendara Community Shuttle a reality were in Old Forge on Thursday, June 18 for a tour of the routes that will be traveled by three shuttles throughout the summer.
The service commenced the same day and will continue through September 6.
The shuttle service is made possible by primary sponsors Herkimer County, the Town of Webb and the Central Adirondack Association. Continue reading

Sarah Alves of Old Forge was appointed program director of the Town of Webb Recreation Department by the Town Board on Monday, May 18.
As program director, Sarah’s duties include scheduling and organizing playground and athletic activities, providing and/or conducting training sessions for recreation leaders, purchasing supplies and materials and working with Town Officials and the Recreation Committee. Continue reading
