The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will host an Informational Open House on Wednesday, April 22 for an upcoming pavement rehabilitation project on Route 28 from Old Forge to the Hamilton County line north of Eagle Bay.
The Open House will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge located at 3273 State Route 28. VIEW is handicapped accessible. Continue reading

The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) has scheduled an informational Open House to be held on Wednesday, April 15 at VIEW in Old Forge, according to Town of Webb Ted Riehle, who received notification Tuesday.

A bipartisan group of 114 New York State legislators, along with county and town highway superintendents from across the state, has joined together in calling for increased state funding for local highway improvements.
State Senator James Seward (R/C/I – Oneonta) was among them, as the coalition was announced on Wednesday, March 4.
“Motorist safety and economic vitality depend on the condition of these roads and the state must step up and fund [their maintenance],” he said. Continue reading

Town supervisors Ted Riehle of Webb, and Parker Snead of Forestport, have been invited to discuss upcoming road projects in the area.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 3, at the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) office in Utica.
