Hurry! Sign up now for Webb Youth Baseball

With practice days approaching, Town of Webb Recreation Director Jason Perkins is seeking coaches for the local Youth Baseball and 50-70 Baseball Leagues.

Little League is open to players ages eight though eleven; players must be eight years old by May 1. Players ages 11 to 13 qualify for the 50-70 League, though adjustments may be made at the coaches’ discretion.  Continue reading

Town of Webb parents & students distinguish themselves statewide with solid 95% showing

The Town of Webb Union Free School District is reporting that 95 percent of the eligible student population participated in the state assessment testing that occurred in districts across New York State this week.

That figure was rounded to the nearest full percentile and reflected student participation at the end of the test day on Wednesday, April 16th, prior the completion of the full testing week.  Continue reading

VIEW announces spring workshops

Registration is now open for upcoming workshops at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge.

Marie Imundo, pottery instructor at VIEW, will lead a weekly Beginner to Inter-mediate Wheel Thrown Pottery class that will meet Mondays April 27 to June 1 from 6 to 9 p.m.

These classes are perfect for individuals who have never taken a pottery class before or for those who want to take their skills to the next level.  Continue reading
