Seward: Adopted State Budget paves way for local road repairs

Crucial funding to support local highway improvements has been included in the recently adopted 2015–16 state budget, including a pothole fund, according to State Senator James L. Seward.

The 2015-16 state budget makes a record investment of $488 million to support local highway, road, and bridge repair projects including $438 million in Consolidated Highway Improvement Program (CHIPs) funding. Continue reading

McCauley Mountain invites all for final day of skiing, April 12

McCauley Mountain will be open for a final day of operation on Sunday, April 12 from 9 a.m. until 4:10 p.m.

Lift tickets for non-pass holders are discounted to $10 for adults and $5 for children ages six to 18. Continue reading

Town of Webb Youth Baseball registration starts; coaches sought

Town of Webb Recreation Director Jason Perkins has announced that registration is currently open for Town of Webb youth baseball for children ages eight through thirteen.

There will be two teams: Little League for players ages eight though eleven, and 50-70 League for ages 11 to 13. Adjustments may be made at the coaches’ discretion.  Continue reading

TIPS: Intoxication prevention program set locally, May 13th

The Town of Webb Police Benevolent Association, MAC’s Safe Ride and the Herkimer County Stop DWI Program will host an upcoming TIPS course for bartenders/ servers employed by local establishments that serve alcohol

Training for Intervention Procedures, TIPS, is a skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing the skills of servers and sellers of alcohol. Continue reading
