Town of Webb Youth Baseball registration starts; coaches sought

Town of Webb Recreation Director Jason Perkins has announced that registration is currently open for Town of Webb youth baseball for children ages eight through thirteen.

There will be two teams: Little League for players ages eight though eleven, and 50-70 League for ages 11 to 13. Adjustments may be made at the coaches’ discretion.

Each team will play between 10 and 12 games during the season, which runs from mid-May until late June.

Games will be played on varying days, Monday though Saturday, with weeknight start times of 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Practice times and locations will be set by coaches.

The Little League team will play against Forestport, Northern Community and two Boonville teams, with home games played at the Park Avenue field in Old Forge.

The 50-70 team will play teams from Boonvillle, Lee Center and Camden, with home games played at the Arrowhead Park field in Inlet.

Cost for player registration is $45 for first player and $15 for additional players from the same family.

Players must be eight years old by May 1 to participate.

To comply with Little League regulations, coaches are currently needed for both teams.
