The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following report of recent law enforcement activity.
• A 22-year-old Holland Patent man was charged with speeding in a 55 mph zone, failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle (move over law), driving while intoxicated, and operating a vehicle with .08 or more of alcohol in blood following an incident that occurred on Thursday, March 19 at 9:14 p.m. Continue reading

By the end of spring 1977 enough water had collected in our basement to resemble a swimming pond.
If the sump pump wasn’t plugged in water would inch up the wooden stairs that led to the area of our oil furnace.
I can still see my father opening the cellar door every morning in late March and early April to peer down into the darkness to see if the water was rising. Continue reading
