Webb Police Department reports recent law enforcment activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following  report of recent law enforcement activity.

• A 22-year-old Holland Patent man was charged with speeding in a 55 mph zone, failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle (move over law), driving while intoxicated, and operating a vehicle with .08 or more of alcohol in blood following an incident that occurred on Thursday, March 19 at 9:14 p.m.

According to the report, the vehicle the man was driving drove past a traffic stop at 73 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.

A traffic stop conducted on same vehicle resulted in the arrest of said defendant for the above mentioned offenses.

• A 35-year-old Rome man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, speeding, and violation of restricted license following a traffic stop on Friday, March 20 at 12:35 p.m.

According to the report, Webb police concluded an investigation incident to a traffic stop on Rt. 28 in Okara Lakes.

The operator was determined to have a suspended license after being stopped for speeding.

All three tickets were returnable to Town of Webb Court at a later date.

• A 50-year-old Oswego man was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than .08, and failure to keep right following an incident that occurred on Saturday, March 21 at 11:57 p.m.

According to the report, the Town of Webb Police conducted a traffic stop on State Route 28 in the Town of Inlet which resulted in the man being arrested for the above charges.

He was issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Inlet Court on April 21, 2015.

• A 28-year-old man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd following an incident that occurred Sunday, March 22 at 10:30 p.m.

According to the report, the defendant was found to be operating without a drivers license since 2008 and was also operating on a suspended driving privilege for failure to pay a driver responsibility fee.

He was released on a traffic ticket returnable at a later date to Town of Webb Court.
