Town of Webb Police Department reports law enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following report of recent law enforcement activity.

A 45-year-old Old Forge man was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, unlicensed opearator, imprudent speed, and failure to keep right following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, February 3 at 6:35 p.m. Continue reading

Ad’k Park Agency trumpets legal, economic and environmental successes

The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) recently issued a statement describing  accomplishments that occurred in 2014, including legal successes and improvements to the Park’s economic and natural resource environments.

Key Legal Division accomplishments for 2014 included dismissal by the 3rd Department Appellate Division of NYS Supreme Court of a challenge to the Agency’s 2012 approval of the Adirondack Club and Resort project in Tupper Lake.   Continue reading

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks has announced that its Student of the Month for February is Connor Glasser.

Maddie Phaneuf earns Dean’s List honors

Maddie Phaneuf, a part-time undergraduate at University of Maine at Fort Kent was named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester.

Maddie, a 2013 graduate of Town of Webb USFD, achieved the honor while training full time in winter ski sports.

She is the daughter of Joe and Janine Phaneuf of Old Forge.

A Loaves and Fishes Café Luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 26, at noon at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Old Forge.

All  neighbors from Raquette Lake, Inlet, Town of Webb and Woodgate are invited to attend this free lunch. Continue reading
