Town of Webb Police Department reports law enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following report of recent law enforcement activity.

A 45-year-old Old Forge man was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, unlicensed opearator, imprudent speed, and failure to keep right following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, February 3 at 6:35 p.m.

According to the report, Webb Police investigated a one vehicle property damage accident on State Route 28 in Eagle Bay.

An investigation was conducted resulting in the man being charged with the above charges.

The Eagle Bay Fire Department and Morin’s Towing assisted at the scene.

The man was issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Webb Court on February 5.

A 39-year-old Ogdensburg, NJ man was charged with criminal trespass 2nd degree and criminal mischief 4th degree for leaving the scene of a property damage accident on a snowmobile, following an incident that occurred on Friday, February 13.

According to the police report, the defendant became stranded on Fourth Lake after his snowmobile broke down.

The defendant then broke out a window of a residence and forced entry into a house on Eagle Creek Rd.

Once inside the residence the subject built a fire in the toilet of same in an attempt to get warmed up.

The defendant then, at approximately 3:30 a.m., called 911 for an ambulance. The defendant was suffering from exposure/hypothermia at the low temperatures.

Further investigation also revealed that the defendant had been involved in a hit and run snowmobile motor vehicle accident at the Holiday Shores earlier in the morning.

The defendant was taken into custody without incident and released on an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Webb Court on February 26.

Webb Police were assisted by State Police/Remsen, Eagle Bay Fire Department and Inlet EMS.

A 44-year-old Thendara woman was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree, escape 3rd degree and failure to keep right  following an incident that occurred on Saturday, February 14 at 11:36 p.m.

According to the police report, the defendant was arrested for DWI following a property damage accident.

The defendant briefly escaped from the police vehicle after arrest and was taken back into custody.

She also had a suspended driver’s license for failure to pay fines out of the Town of New Hartford Court.

She was arraigned in the Town of Ohio Court and was released on her own recognisance.

She is scheduled to appear in Town of Webb Court on March 5.

A 45-year-old Thendara man was charged with obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree on Sunday, February 15 at 11:32 a.m.

According to the police report, while officers were attempting to conduct an accident and DWI investigation the defendant, while in an intoxicated state, continued to prevent and impair police from completing said investigation.

The man continued to be belligerent, disorderly and threaten officers while at the scene of the property damage motor vehicle accident.

He was released on an appearance ticket returnable March 5 in the Town of Webb Court.

A 42-year-old Webster, NY man and a 40-year-old Castle Creek, NY man were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and criminal possession of marjuana 5th degree, a misdemeanor, following an incident that occurred on Monday, February 16 at 11:05 a.m.

According to the report, Town of Webb Police investigated a report of illegal drug activity inside a room of a local hotel.

During the investigation police located a quantity of marijuana from within the hotel room.

Both defendants were subsequently charged with one count each of the above listed charges and issued appearance tickets returnable on March 10 at 6 p.m. in the Town of Webb Court.
