Jennifer Getty and Adam Berry to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew W. Getty of Old Forge, NY are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Cyr Getty to Adam Thomas Berry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Berry of Athens, NY.Getty Engagement

The future bride graduated from Town of Webb School in 2006, SUNY Oneonta in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies, and from Sage Graduate School in 2012 with a Masters in Professional School Counseling.

The future groom graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

The couple met at their alma mater, SUNY Oneonta.

The wedding will be held August 23, 2014 at the Big Moose Chapel in Eagle Bay, NY.

Central Ad’k Kiwanis named Distinguished Club

Central Adirondack Kiwanis Past President and Central Division Lt. Governor Carolyn Trimbach recently announced that Central Adirondack Kiwanis has earned Distinguished Club Status for the Program year 2012 to 2013, as designated by Kiwanis International.

At a Club Recognition Event held Monday, April 28 at North Woods Inn, the Award was presented  to Michael Griffin who was Central Adirondack Club Vice President and acting President for most of the year. Continue reading

VIEW: Adirondack Regional Art Trail discussion set May 4th

View will hold a meeting to discuss the newly proposed Adirondack Regional Art Trail that will provide an opportunity to market the Adirondack region as a cultural destination. This newly created initiative will connect artists and art resources across the region, in an effort to provide a way for the arts to be more accessible to a wider audience.  Continue reading
