VIEW: Adirondack Regional Art Trail discussion set May 4th

View will hold a meeting to discuss the newly proposed Adirondack Regional Art Trail that will provide an opportunity to market the Adirondack region as a cultural destination. This newly created initiative will connect artists and art resources across the region, in an effort to provide a way for the arts to be more accessible to a wider audience.

The Adirondack Regional Art Trail received a grant in the amount of $59,200 from the New York State Council on the Arts and was announced in December 2013 by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Project team members made up of the Adirondack North Country Association, Traditional Arts in Upstate NY (TAUNY) and View are hosting an event on Sunday, May 4 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Artists, artisans, arts organizations, individuals, and businesses are invited to learn more and give feedback about the art trail and what it will mean to you and your business.

Enjoy light refreshments as you share ideas with other artists. Information about View will be available and View’s galleries will be open with free admission that afternoon.

To RSVP for the meeting,  contact Pam Caryl at (315) 369-6411 ext. 201 or send an email to info@viewarts.org. For more information about the Art Trail, contact Melissa Hart at (518) 891-6200 or mhart@adirondack.org,
