Central Ad’k Kiwanis named Distinguished Club

Central Adirondack Kiwanis Past President and Central Division Lt. Governor Carolyn Trimbach recently announced that Central Adirondack Kiwanis has earned Distinguished Club Status for the Program year 2012 to 2013, as designated by Kiwanis International.

At a Club Recognition Event held Monday, April 28 at North Woods Inn, the Award was presented  to Michael Griffin who was Central Adirondack Club Vice President and acting President for most of the year.

To qualify for distinguished club status a club must excel in service, leadership education, and growth. The club president and secretary participate in the Club Leadership Education (CLE) training session prior to assuming office. The Kiwanis club has a net membership gain by the end of the administrative year and maintains current membership.

The Kiwanis club that accumulates at least 100 points and has properly submitted its Annual Club Report will earn distinguished recognition. The club will receive a Distinguished Club banner patch and a distinguished lapel pin for the president and secretary.

Recognized as Distinguished President for the 2012 to 2013 year, Jim Connerty; Distinguished Vice President Mike Griffin; Distinguished Secretary  Bill Baumann Distinguished Treasurer Jane Slack. Connerty and Slack were not present and will receive their awards at a later date.

“We are pleased to be recognized for the Central Adirondack Kiwanis programs that support the children of our Community. Without the support of the entire community the Kiwanis programs would not be possible,” said Micheal Griffin, current president.
