Noel Mary Nestico, 46, passed Thursday, November 13 after a courageous fight with cancer.
Born in New Jersey, she moved to Old Forge, NY at the age of 12. Noel graduated in 1987 from Town of Webb High School.
She moved to North Carolina in the year of 1995. Her most loved position was held at Fairway Green where she worked for 17 years leaving only when she was unable to continue due to her illness. Continue reading

I could not wait to head south to my Grandmother’s house for our Thanksgiving gathering, where she had all the back issues stashed in a neat magazine rack in her bathroom.

My new computer takes me longer to get started than to write my column as it sets on a cloud somewhere and I can’t seem to find it.
My grandson Jake took a nice buck on opening day in Livingston County. He sent his mother a text and it was on facebook before he got the deer out of the woods.
I hope I don’t have to break in another computer or the Geek Squad may have to rent a room here.
I’ve taken hundreds of pictures in the last few weeks. I tried to save them on a disc so they wouldn’t take up space on the computer but they still seem to find a place to hide. Continue reading
Each year the Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks collects and distributes gifts and toys to special families in the Woodgate, White Lake, Otter Lake, Thendara, Old Forge, Eagle Bay, Inlet and Raquette Lake areas.

The Town of Forestport’s 3rd Annual Light Up Parade will be held Sunday, December 7.
Line-up and registration for individuals and groups will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the parking area across from St. Patrick’s Church.
Everyone in the Electric Horse Parade is asked to carry some type of lighting. Unmotorized decorated crafts such as wagons, strollers, wheelbarrows and carriages are allowed. Continue reading
