The Town of Forestport’s 3rd Annual Light Up Parade will be held Sunday, December 7.
Line-up and registration for individuals and groups will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the parking area across from St. Patrick’s Church.
Everyone in the Electric Horse Parade is asked to carry some type of lighting. Unmotorized decorated crafts such as wagons, strollers, wheelbarrows and carriages are allowed.
There will be nine cash prizes awarded for the best decorated individual or group.
The parade will proceed through the streets and everyone will assemble in the Memorial Park for the horse-drawn Santa prior to the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree.
Horse-drawn wagon rides will be available. There will also be a “Forestport Grinch Show” and singing of Christmas Carols along with refreshments.
Specially priced light up items are on sale at the Forestport Diner and the Station Country Store in Forestport Station.
