Kiwanis Club collection effort to help stock Webb’s Community Food Pantry

The Webb Community Food Pantry, located at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Old Forge, is always in need of additional non-perishable food items.

The services of the Food Pantry have been in great demand this year and are in need of substantial replenishment.

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks will assist by sponsoring a Food Kart Day on Saturday, July 5th.  Continue reading

Inlet concert: Savoca/Heitzman to perform

Karen Savoca and Pete Heitzman will perform during Inlet’s “Sunsets by the Lake” Summer Concert Series on Saturday, July 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Arrowhead Lakefront.

All are invited to bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy the free concert and a spectacular sunset. Rain location is Fern Park Pavilion. Continue reading

Annual Antique and Classic Boat Show returns to Old Forge Lakefront, July 12

The 24th annual Fulton Chain Rendezvous of the Antique and Classic Boat Society will be held on Saturday, July 12 in Old Forge on the waterfront. Boats will be on display at the Old Forge lakefront for public viewing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at no charge.

At 2 p.m., the fleet will depart for a grand parade though the one and a half mile channel that marks the beginning of the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Continue reading

VIEW: Opening reception set July 5th for Tim Fortune Watercolor Exhibit

Tim Fortune of Saranac Lake will be exhibiting his large scale, transparent style, watercolor paintings at VIEW from July 5 through August 3 with an opening reception on Saturday, July 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Cory Card, View’s Exhibition Manager, is preparing the Vandervort and Foley Galleries for Fortune’s large scale watercolor paintings that are up to seven feet tall. Continue reading
