The Woods Inn is getting ready for Friday’s Cocktail Party—preceding the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra performance at Inlet’s Arrowhead Park—a first-time hosting of the event under Charlie and Nancy Frey, who took ownership of the Inn on July 10th.

The three-color traffic signals on Route 28 saw their first full day of use on Tuesday, July 22, with motorists voicing concerns almost immediately to Town of Webb Supervisor Ted Riehle, about back-ups and delays.
The signals have been installed temporarily for single-lane passage, while bridge work is being done on the Moose River bridge at McKeever. Continue reading

A NY State Boater Safety Course will be held at the Park Avenue Building in Old Forge on Thursdays July 31, August 7 and 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. Students must attend all three classes.
The NYS Boater Safety Certificate is required for boat operators ages 10 to 18 and adults operating solo, and mandatory for all PWC operators from ages 14 to adult.

An AARP Driving Course will be given at the White Otter Fish & Game Club on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 5 and 6 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. both days.
