AARP driving course in Inlet
An AARP Driving Course will be held a the Inlet Senior Center at the Inlet Town Offices on Monday and Tuesday, July 14 and 15 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. both days.
The fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. To register, call Pat at (315) 357-5592.
Chapel opens at Big Moose
Summer services at the Big Moose Chapel summer season have begun. Rev. Dr. Richard McCaughey will officiate the Sunday 9:30 and 11 a.m. services throughout the months of July and August.
Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. and child care is available at both services.
Old Forge: Fourth of July festivities set
The Fourth of July celebration in Old Forge will include a free concert performed by the Floyd Community Instrumental Ensemble starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Old Forge Lakefront.

Gwen Tracy Band to perform at lakefront
The Summer Concert Series held on the Old Forge Lakefront on Sunday evenings at 7pm will feature The Gwen Tracy Band, on July 6th.

David Beck makes President’s List
David Beck of Wood-gate received Mohawk Valley Community College’s President’s List Achievement Award for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average during the spring semester.
Beck is enrolled in the Computer Sciences program at MVCC. He is the son of Karen Worthen Beck, of Woodgate and Joseph Miles Beck of Hopewell, VA, and the grandson of Isabella and Albert Worthen of Old Forge.
