VIEW is completing its 5th summer season in the new building, and it has been a very successful summer.
Most programs are well attended, attendance has increased, and VIEW is becoming the cultural destination that has been our goal since we moved to the new facility.
This weekend we welcome approximately 43 Plein Air artists to town to paint in our region. Each has volunteered to donate one of their framed paintings for a live auction on Saturday, September 5. Continue reading

An opening reception for the 34th annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Water-colors will be held at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, on Friday, August 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments and light fare will be specially prepared by Town of Webb graduate and executive sous chef of the Club at Olde Cyprus, Naples, FL, Justin Connerty.

Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge.
Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge opened its gates for the 2015 season on Wednesday, June 17, marking the 60th anniversary of the storybook theme park that has transitioned, since the eighties, into New York’s Largest Water Theme Park.
The park boasts over 50 rides and attractions, including 32 heated water rides, according to Katie Wojdyla, the park’s director of marketing. Continue reading
Summer services at the Big Moose Chapel summer season have begun. Rev. Dr. Richard McCaughey will officiate the Sunday 9:30 and 11 a.m. services throughout the months of July and August.
Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. and child care is available at both services.
