The Town of Webb Police Department’s patrols and persistence with the use of various types of surveillance pays off.

Early in the spring, complaints regarding illegal activity combined with observations by members of the Webb Police Department determined that more patrol emphasis was needed on the snowmobile trail system and town-owned lands. Members of the police department continued to monitor the use of the town’s trail system by vehicles, foot patrols and other types of surveillance throughout the summer. Continue reading

Town of Webb police activity, July 9–16

The Town of Webb Police Department has received numerous bear complaints over the last couple weeks. The Town of Webb Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that one major deterrent is to make sure all food and trash is properly secured.

Webb prescription drug drop box available at Police Dept.

The Herkimer County Prevention Council’s Prescription Drop Box has recently been moved from the Village or Frankfort Police Department to its new location at the Town of Webb Police Department on Route 28 in Old Forge.

Residents are welcome to drop off their unwanted, unused, or expired medications/prescriptions at the Town of Webb Police Department during the day between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. when a police officer is present at the station or by appointment by calling (315) 369-6915.   Continue reading
