The Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office did not properly safeguard seized property, including cash, drugs, firearms and vehicles, according to an audit released last week by State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.
Herkimer County Sheriff Christopher Farber is responsible for overseeing the general management of the Office, according to DiNapoli.
This includes overseeing non-Office property room inventory, including items for safekeeping, he said. Continue reading
Town of Webb Police Commis-sioner Ted Riehle presented an update to the Town of Webb Board on Monday, October 20, about the ongoing investigation and audit of the town’s police department.
Also made public was the agreement, approved by the Town Board, that opened the activity on July 28 under the direction of Joseph Loszynski, a Queensbury, NY investigator. Continue reading
The Town of Webb Board passed a resolution at the monthly Board meeting on Tuesday, September 13, acknowledging the receipt of the completed audit of the 2010 financial records for the Town of Webb.
The motion was presented by Town Supervisor Robert Moore and was made a motion by Councilwoman Russell and was seconded by Councilman Ross. Continue reading
