Services set for Sheryl Pierson, 75

Sheryl “Sher” Pierson, 75, of Webster, NY passed away on January 6, 2014. She leaves her husband of 54 years, David; children, Kathy (Ken) Schadt and Mark (Shari) Pierson;  grandchildren, Tyler and Ethan Schadt and Danni Pierson; nieces and nephews.Pierson, Sheryl

She was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Virginia Putnam; and a brother, Tom Putnam.

Born in, and having lived in Webster for most of her life, Sher also lived in Old Forge for 15 years and wintered in Florida. Throughout her life, she enjoyed volunteering at church, school and Webster Chamber of Commerce. She also loved being a member of the Webster Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  Continue reading

Ruby B. Chesebro, 80, passes away

Ruby B. Chesebro, 80, of Thendara and formerly of Sherrill, NY, died peacefully at her home while surrounded by her family on January 1, 2014Back Camera

She was born January 2, 1933, in Sherrill, a daughter of George and Mary (Turner) Barnes. Ruby graduated from Sherrill High School and attended Cortland State College. She was united in marriage with her childhood sweetheart, William F. Chesebro, on September 5, 1953, in Sherrill.
