Area residents of all ages took advantage of the opportunity to attend close-to-home political rallies for presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump on Tuesday, April 12th.
Old Forge residents Paul and Kathy Rivet and son Jack, an eighth grade student at Town of Webb School, traveled to downtown Syracuse to see Bernie Sanders at the OnCenter Convention Center. Continue reading
David S Pylman, 54, of Oneida, NY and formerly of Eagle Bay died unexpectedly March 11 at his home.
Our family would like to thank all who remembered David at this sad time with cards phone calls and many other acts of kindness. We did appreciate all of them.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Chruch in Old Forge. A luncheon will follow and all are invited.

Recently, there have been several different unsuspecting home owners, who were taken back by the fact that a permit is required for a new or replacement dock.
This is not a new law; permits have been required for docks for over forty years in the Town of Webb.

Town of Webb school senior Tyler Fenton, 17, has lived in Old Forge all his life.
Being a sports enthusiast, Tyler is headed to St. Bonaventure this fall to study physical education.
He is also hoping to play basketball and soccer there.
“I have always coached and helped kids in sports—it is something that I really enjoy doing,” he said. Continue reading

Town of Webb school senior Melanie Levi, 17, transferred to Webb school from Inlet Common School in the seventh grade.
She has lived in Inlet all her life, where many family members reside.

• A 28-year-old Old Forge man was charged with Driving While intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with Blood Alcohol greater than 0.08% and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with Blood Alcohol greater than 0.18% following an incident that occurred on Monday, April 4 at 9 p.m. Continue reading
