Barnstormers set safety course for for January 17th

The Inlet Barnstormers will sponsor a Snowmobile Safety Course on Saturday, January 17 at the Inlet Fire Hall on the corner of Rte. 28 and Limekiln Rd.

Sign up begins Monday, January 5 by calling Ernie Gilbert at (315) 369-3695.

Trivia Nights held at Raquette & Long lakes

The Town of Long Lake hosts Trivia Nights on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, with the exception of December.

Play in the Long Lake area alternates between the Long Lake Diner, Cellar Restaurant and Pub and the Adirondack Hotel. Continue reading

Card of Thanks

Perhaps you sent a lovely card,

Or sat quietly in a chair.

Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, If so we saw it there.

Perhaps you spoke the kindest words,

That anyone could say.

Perhaps you were not there at all,

Just thought of us that day.

Whatever you did to console our hearts,

We thank you so much whatever the part.

We would especially like to thank the Old Forge Ambulance Crew, Father Shane, Sandy and Pierre, Stuart and Jimmy, Carl and Deb and the Town of Webb School Junior Class.

Thank you to those who have made donations to the Tayler Schmid Memorial Fund. Through those donations we hope to provide much needed programs and services for the youth of our area.

Orders sought for Niccolls Food Sense

Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church is taking orders for the Food Sense package for January.  Each “unit” costs $15.50.

This program is open to all. There are no eligibility requirements nor is there any obligation to purchase food every month. Continue reading

Enjoy dinner in support of Old Forge Fire Dept.

Billy’s Italian-American Restaurant in Old Forge will be hosting a donation dinner on Thursday, January 8 whereby 20 percent of all sales will benefit the Old Forge Fire Department.

We invite all of our members and the community to get out and enjoy a great dinner in support of our volunteer fire department.
