Blanchard earns degrees in marketing and business

Arielle Blanchard, a 2007 graduate of Indian Lake Central School, graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo on May 21, 2011 with a dual degree in Marketing and Business Management.

While at Canisius, Arielle was a member of the Delta Tau chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi which is a co-ed professional business fraternity that develops member’s business and professionalism skills and instills values of integrity, knowledge, and education.

Arielle brought the organization Women In Business (WIB) to Canisius College to become the sister chapter to the WIB organization at RIT.

She served as its president until her graduation.

WIB club members actively support one another to advance their career ambitions, broaden their business goals, and develop friendships.

Through networking, educational events, and community service, WiB creates and strengthens skills in leadership, business education, and life management.

WIB sponsored and organized events such as a job fair, professionalism workshops, a business etiquette workshop, a business trip to NYC, the first annual survivor’s breakfast for the Susan G. Komen run in Buffalo, and brought speakers to campus to talk on topics varying from human rights, to women in the workforce.

Arielle is employed at ROAR Logistics in Buffalo and will be pursuing an associates degree in fashion merchandising management in the fall.

She is the daughter of Jim and Mary Blanchard of Raquette Lake.
