A large crowd of people gathered at the Old Forge lakefront on Sunday, September 1 to listen to the music of the Paul Case Band and to hear the announcement of the winners in the Central Adirondack Association’s annual drawing for a car and cash prizes.
The Labor Day celebration concluded with a fireworks display.

He and his wife had a miscommunication and thought each other bought one. He said, “I wasn’t meant to win it last year.” He only bought one ticket this year.
Winners in this year’s raffle are: Grand Prize – 2014 Chevrolet Camaro, Ticket #610, Tim Kuhn, Marcy; second prize – $10,000, Ticket #667, Judy Rambone, Great Bend NY; third prize – $3,000, Ticket #229, Mary Ellen Shaw, Utica.
The five winners of $1,000 are: Lynne Toussaint of Deerfield, Ticket #088; Terry Brown, Fountain Hills AZ, Ticket # 997; Jamie Rodger, Waterloo, Ticket # 702; Eve Vandewal, New Hartford, Ticket #033; and Paul Van Slyke, Lake Placid, Ticket #191.
The three winners of $500 are: Daikers, Old Forge, Ticket #799; Bonnie Lawrence, Eagle Bay, Ticket #128; and Peter Welutowicz, West Babylon, Ticket #128.
