Inlet: A Ping Pong Ball Drop Thank You

The Town of Inlet and the Inlet Youth Commission would like to thank everyone who was involved in making our 38th Annual Ping Pong Ball Drop held on July 4 an exciting day for all.

The 800-plus children who attended this event were each able to collect three ping pong balls that they traded in for prizes donated by the Inlet Youth Commission and area businesses.

Prizes included gift certificates, prizes, drinks, snacks and novelty toys. Attached to each novelty toy was a coupon for a free donut at The Donut Shop in Eagle Bay.  Continue reading →

Inlet seeks contributions for July 4 Ping Pong Drop

The Inlet Youth Commission is planning its annual Fourth of July Ping Pong Drop at Fern Park and is seeking donations for prizes for the hundreds of children who participate in this historic event.

Approximately 700 kids turned out for last year’s event. Ping pong balls are dropped onto the baseball field and kids race to collect three balls to redeem for prizes. Continue reading →
