Pedals & Petals: Local retailer named one of America’s Best Bike Shops for 2015; second consecutive year in receiving distinction

Pedals & Petals of Inlet has been named one of America’s Best Bike Shops for 2015 by the National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA), according to an announcement made by the organization on Wednesday.

This is the second year in a row that Pedals & Petals has received this Industry-wide honor.   Continue reading

Pedals & Petals bike event to benefit breast cancer research

The 8th Annual Trek Women Breast Cancer Awareness Ride, a casual family-friendly bike ride open to men and women of all ages and abilities, will start from Pedals & Petals on Main Street Inlet on Saturday, October 12th.

The event begins at 10 a.m. and participants will race down South Shore Road towards Old Forge. Participants can choose between an 11.6-mile or a 20.8-mile ride.

Registration is currently open and interested bikers can sign up at Pedals & Petals, or on-line at pedalsandpetals.com. The fee is $30. On-line registration closes on Friday, October 11 at noon.

Registration forms will also be available from 8 to 9:45 a.m. on the day of the event. One hundred percent of the registration fees will go directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Local enthusiasts looking to form Mountain Biking Club

Ted Christodaro, owner of Pedals & Petals of Inlet, and mountain biker Chuck Schweitzer invite all mountain bike enthusiasts to a group ride to Moss, Sis and Bubb Lakes on Saturday, October 19th.

Anyone interested in participating should meet at the Moss Lake trailhead on the Big Moose Road at 9:30 a.m. The ride begins at 10 a.m. Rain date is Sunday, October 20th.

Later that same day, they invite all interested bikers to a Meet and Greet session and meeting to discuss the formation of a local mountain bike club. Continue reading
