Old Forge Library to host annual Ad’k Storytelling & Music Fest

The Old Forge Library’s Adirondack Storytelling and Music Festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 26 from 12 to 2 p.m. under the tent on the Forge Motel Knoll.

Award-winning musician, storyteller and author Joe Bruchac will host the event and will be joined by his son Jesse Bruchac, folksinger/songwriter Peggy Lynn and Adirondack Storyteller Bill Smith. Continue reading

Town of Webb instrumental students participate in Bi-County Music Fest

Four Town of Webb seventh and eighth grade band students traveled to Indian River High School on Tuesday, October 28 and Saturday, November 1 for concert band rehearsals prior to their participation in the Jefferson-Lewis Music Teachers’ Association’s Fall Bi-County Music Festival.

Participating in the festival were Natalie Brownsell, Blake Greene, Emily Rudolph, and Karen Thornton—all students of Emily Herrmann, TOW School instrumental teacher.

These students joined the top seventh and eighth grade musicians from surrounding counties for the two days of rehearsals that culminated with a public performance on November 1.

Ad’k Storytelling & Music Festival returning Sunday

The Old Forge Library’s Adirondack Storytelling and Music Festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 20 from 12 to 2 p.m. under the tent on the Forge Motel Knoll.
